Jakarta, 3 September 2023 – Indonesia is committed to being a good host by offering the best services to domestic and foreign media personnel covering the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta, 5—7 September 2023.

It was stated by the Minister of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia Budi Arie Setiadi at the 43rd ASEAN Summit Media Center, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, in Jakarta on Sunday (3 September 2023).

One of the services provided by Indonesia as the 43rd ASEAN Summit host is an internet network with a ten-gigabyte capacity. In this way, all journalists may comfortably work and submit news to their respective offices without any issues. "With ten gigabytes, the Media Center’s internet network is incredibly fast," he remarked.

In addition to providing high-speed internet, Indonesia provides a variety of facilities, including food and beverages that are available every day. The host has also provided several rooms that journalists can use to work. For relaxation while covering this event, a massage area is available for media personnel to use.

Budi Arie Setiadi said Indonesia aims to be a good host. That way, media personnel will be able to provide more comprehensive coverage of the 43rd ASEAN Summit to their respective countries.

In this way, he hoped that the main theme of the 43rd ASEAN Summit "ASEAN Matters: The Epicentrum of Growth" could be realized, since the aim of ASEAN Matters is to make ASEAN relevant and significant for the people of Indonesia, ASEAN, and the surrounding region. The Epicentrum of Growth represents Indonesia's desire to leverage ASEAN as the center of economic growth.

Previously, Ministry of Communications and Informatics’ Director General of Public Information and Communication Usman Kansong has stated that 2,500 journalists will be covering the 43rd ASEAN Summit, with nearly 1,800 of them being foreign journalists. (Alex/Elvira)
