Pertamina Guarantees Energy Supply for Labuan Bajo ASEAN Summit
Jakarta, Kominfo Newsroom – Pertamina Patra Niaga East Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalnus) is ready to provide the necessary energy to ensure the success of the 42nd ASEAN Summit, which will be held in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara from May 9 to 11, 2023.
"We provide fuels for both aircraft and vehicles that will participate in the ASEAN Summit,” the Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus Dwi Puja Ariestya stated on Sunday, 16 April in Surabaya
According to him, the successful execution of the 2022 G20 Summit in Bali was a powerful asset and a model for his party's success at the next ASEAN Summit.
Dwi specifically stated that Pertamina will supply the delegate’s aircraft with jet fuel at the Labuan Bajo Aircraft Filling Depot (DPPU).
"Our focus is on energy supply, particularly jet fuel, in order to meet the aviation jet fuel needs of delegates from multiple countries," he said.
Additionally, Pertamina Patra Niaga will prepare several locations closest to the ASEAN Summit's venues.
"We will stand by at a number of nearby airports, including Surabaya, Bali, Kupang, and Ende," he said.
According to him, this will be done because there will be a significant number of flights during the ASEAN summit.
Additionally, his party will provide petroleum fuel (BBM) through the Labuan Bajo Pertamina distribution agency.
"Our distribution channels include both Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) and Fishermen General Fuel Filling Stations (SPBUN). We have also prepared for a stock upgrade in anticipation of an increase during the ASEAN Summit," he explained.
This year, Indonesia will host the ASEAN Summit. The highlight of the 2023 ASEAN Summit will be held in Labuan Bajo and Jakarta, in May and September 2023. (Abdul Hakim/Elvira/TR)
