Jakarta, 31 August 2023 – The Indonesian National Police (Polri) began preparing measures and personnel for the security arrangements ahead of the 43rd ASEAN Summit, which will take place on 5-7 September 2023. The initial step was to hold a Tactical Floor Game (TFG) drill.
"I, as the Head of Operations (Kaops), together with Head of National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas Polri) as Deputy Head of Operations (Wakaops) 2, Head of Metro Jaya Police as Wakaops 1, and all eight task forces carried out the TFG drill to clarify the tasks, functions, roles in implementing the security arrangements," said the Head of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam), Commissioner General Pol Fadil Imran in his official statement Thursday, 31 August 2023.
The TGF drill, which involved all apparatus in the Tribrata Jaya Operation, was held at the Metro Jaya Meeting Hall Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, 30 August 2023.
At the event, Fadil Imran was accompanied by Polri’s Head of Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi and Head of Metro Jaya Police Inspector General Karyoto.
He said that the implementation of TFG drill was also to check the readiness of personnel, both in terms of equipment and technology that supports the dynamics of the operations.
"Including identifying issues for better coordination and communication should issues arise in the field, especially those related to securing the route which is part of our responsibility," said Fadil Imran.
The personnel involved in this TFG drill came from the Korlantas Polri, including personnel from the Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya, Banten, West Java, and several other regional police with a total number of personnel reached 1,679 people.
On the occasion, Fadil Imran who is also a former Metro Jaya regional police chief added, that the security arrangements of the 43rd ASEAN Summit 2023 is under the direct command of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) commander Admiral Yudo Margono. Meanwhile, Polri has carried out its Operation Tribrata Jaya for the security of VIP guests. (Rico/Alex/TR)
