Flood of Prise, These are the Figures Behind the 43rd ASEAN Summit Gala Dinner Performance

The gala dinner at the 43rd ASEAN Summit left a deep impression on the countries leaders attending. The warm atmosphere when welcoming the country's honorary guests proves that Indonesia is a country that is full of hospitality and upholds the dignity of its VVIP guests.

Interestingly, the gala dinner, which took place magnificently at Hutan Kota (City Forest) by Plataran, GBK Stadium Complex area, Senayan, Jakarta, was also flooded with kudos from various parties. One of the important figures who praised the 43rd ASEAN Summit gala dinner's success in Jakarta was the United States Vice President (US), Kamala Harris. "The food, event hosting, and entertainment are almost beyond what is done in Hollywood," praised Kamala.

The splendour behind the gala dinner performance has also raised a big question among most people: Who are the figures behind the gala dinner performance of the 43rd ASEAN Summit on 6 September 2023?

Gala Dinner Conceptors and Team

The decorations at the 43rd ASEAN Summit gala dinner amazed the leaders and heads of state attending the event. The bamboo aisle adorning the red carpet welcoming state leaders emphasised the sustainable nature feel of the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo.

In Jakarta, Rubi Roesli was the architect responsible for the design at the 43rd ASEAN Summit. The task of Rubi and his team was to design the spatial layout at the 43rd ASEAN Summit, starting from the conference room at the JCC, the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Complex, to the bamboo corridor leading to the area in the Hutan Kota by Plataran.

Rubi and Elwin Mok served as Visual Creative Consultants and designed the entire concept under the supervision of Wishnutama Kusubandio, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy for the 2019-2020 period. Previously, Wishnutama was also trusted as the G-20 Summit gala dinner designer in Jimbaran, Bali, in November 2022.

That special dinner will only run smoothly with organised logistics. Pacto Convex was selected as the Professional Conference Organizer (PCO) for the 43rd ASEAN Summit. Their job was to create event concepts, branding, ensure the readiness of electric vehicles, accommodation, meeting rooms, courtrooms, decorations, banquets, health facilities, spouse program, gala dinner, and even small but important things such as souvenirs.

It is not surprising that the gala dinner was splendid and classy. The play of light in the middle of Jakarta's skyscrapers added to the atmosphere. Many skyscrapers in the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) area were transformed into giant canvases that displayed video mapping during the gala dinner.

More uniquely, the fence around the Hutan Kota GBK (GBK City Forest) was "covered" with thousands of giant vines. It made the gala dinner venue feel like it was in the middle of a beautiful tropical rainforest.

Stunning Art Show

The praise of the country's leaders could not be separated from the performing arts of Indonesia's talented young artists. One of them was the sasando musical instrument playing the song "What A Wonderful Word," popularised by Louis Armstrong, and Eric Clapton's song "Wonderful Tonight," which opened the gala dinner.

The hip hop group of Papua, Shine to Black, also successfully enlivened the 43rd ASEAN Summit gala dinner with their hit song, "Jangan Ganggu." A performance by Aurelie Moeremans also made state leaders and guests sway with her rendition of the song "Cikini-Gondangdia."

Many young Indonesian artists successfully enlivened and entertained all the heads of state and VIP guests at the gala dinner of the 43rd ASEAN Summit. Some of them are Yura Yunita, Afgan, Lea Simanjuntak, Mawar de Jongh, and 100 dancers who performed various traditional Indonesian dances.
