Indonesia Promotes Sanur Health SEZ During ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum 2023

Jakarta, September 4, 2023 The first Indonesian Health Tourism Special Economic Zone (SZE) will be introduced and promoted at the ASEAN-Indo Pacific Forum (AIPF) with the theme Implementation of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific, which will be held on 5 to 6 September 2023 in Jakarta.

The Sanur Health SEZ will be developed into a World Class Medical and Wellness Destination as an Integrated New Health and Tourism Service Center of international caliber.

In AIPF 2023 which is the flagship event of the 2023 ASEAN Indonesia Chairmanship, PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) and its subsidiary, PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN), will showcase the Sanur Health SEZ development project and various potential inclusive cooperation between ASEAN countries and partners in the Indo-Pacific Region.

In addition to introducing the Sanur SEZ, Injourney participated in a panel discussion session where the President Director of Injourney, Dony Oskaria, spoke on a panel entitled "Recovery Momentum: Advancing the Creative Industry and Tourism as Experience".

At the event, PT HIN will also sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with one of the partners from a well-known brand from Kuala Lumpur which is a leading pioneer in science and research in the field of fertility.

Dony Oskaria revealed that the development of Sanur SEZ offers an end-to-end journey that integrates health and tourism services with various facilities in the area, the application of international standards, and the involvement of various parties from within and outside the country.

"The development of Sanur SEZ is a strategic transformation effort to create various added values for Indonesia. With the Sanur SEZ, Indonesia will have a world-class health service center and become a new tourism magnet through the concept of medical & wellness tourism. We also support the AIPF activities that will be conducted on 5—6 September 2023 by displaying the Sanur SEZ showcase. We hope the event will attract investors who are interested in collaborating with us," said Dony in a statement received on Monday (4 September 2023).

Sanur Special Economic Zone will be developed into a "World Class Medical & Wellness Destination" as a world-class/international standard Integrated New Health and Tourism Service Center covering an area of 41.26 Ha.

Sanur SEZ has integrated state-of-the-art facilities such as accommodation facilities consisting of 5-star hotels and premium villas, resorts with up to 1000 rooms, facilities for the elderly, an Ethnomedicinal Botanic Garden, an International Convention Center accommodating up to 5000 people, commercial area, MSME Center, and various other facilities supported by the latest technology.

As the Sanur SEZ Development and Management Business Entity (BUPP), PT HIN continues to strive so that the construction or development of the area can catalyze economic growth in Indonesia.

President Director of PT HIN Christine Hutabarat expressed her commitment to continue making breakthroughs and innovations by collaborating with various stakeholders to develop strategic sectors in the region.
